AirStop®1 tyres
Put your trust in AirStop® tyres with innovative sealing technology, which immediately seals small damages.
The technology behind AirStop® tyres
What’s behind the innovative sealing technology and how is air prevented from escaping the so-called sealing tyres following a puncture? We show you how it works.
Next stop: Volkswagen Retailer
Please note: Despite a puncture, you can continue your journey with fewer worries. However, if you do not change your tyres, they will not be repaired in the long term. Take your vehicle directly to the nearest workshop or your Volkswagen Retailer – the service employees will take a close look at your tyres and advise you accordingly. Is your steel or aluminium rim also damaged? No problem. Small scratches can be treated for you – so you don’t need to buy new rims, plus you’ll be preserving valuable resources.
AirStop® won’t let you down
No annoying tyre change at the side of the road, additional space in the luggage compartment and the same driving behaviour as with standard tyres: Self-sealing tyres are practical and provide a number of benefits. Discover what AirStop® has to offer.

Did you know? AirStop® is also used in our Volkswagen Genuine +Tyres. With this combination, not only can you enjoy a more reliable and carefree drive, but you can also benefit from more comfort, dynamism and quality. And if something does happen, you’re covered up to 36 months by the Tyre Insurance – at no additional cost when you purchase new tyres via a Volkswagen Retailer.
Our recommendation for you
Whether you use AirStop® or other tyres, it’s important to check them on a regular basis – once or twice a month and before any longer journeys. Keep an eye out for punctures or a possible loss of tyre pressure. Unusual noises, a vibrating sensation or changes in driving behaviour can also indicate that something is wrong with the tyres. Head to the nearest workshop as soon as possible and have your tyres checked. The service employees will take a look at the damage and – if necessary – change your tyres.
