Recycling and return
We take back our products once they have reached the end of their service life. 95% of your Volkswagen can be recycled and recovered.
Recycled materials at Volkswagen
Our goal is to reduce our consumption of new raw materials. To this end, recycled materials are included in the manufacturing process of our vehicles, e.g. plastic recycled materials that are made of post-consumer or production waste. They make up a small part of the new vehicle. Additional information on a more sustainable management of resources can be found in our “Way to Zero” campaign.
Consistent quality
Whether they are new products or recycled materials, our components meet high standards. Only high-quality recycled materials are deployed, which are extensively tested before use.

Making the service life of an electric car as sustainable as possible
Our endeavours to make electromobility as sustainable as possible extend beyond the use of recycled materials or the recycling of batteries. The initiatives and measures start with the raw materials and the use of green electricity for production.
