Capturing this classic VW Golf MK1, affectionately known as ‘Bumble,’ was an absolute thrill! Its vibrant yellow paint is a true showstopper, blending vintage charm with a modern twist that’s impossible to miss. The owner couldn’t help but share how this distinctive shade turns heads wherever they go, always drawing smiles and admiration. A true icon on the road, Bumble is as unforgettable as the stories it carries. - Angelo Joel Joy.

In 1992 I drove my MK2 Golf from Mizen head to Malin Head, and in 1991 I drove the exact same car when new. MK2 would certainly be my favourite of all Golf's. - thegaragecafe_cork_.
June
This is a Golf CL 2.0TDI. This trip to Achill was actually my first adventure journey after purchasing the Golf. So far, I am very happy with it. - Dominika
July
I met the owner of this fabulous MK5 Golf Gary Dawson at a car show. I was telling him about the VW Snapshot competition and as we where chatting and shooting the car, along came a friendly dalmatian. After a good sniff around the tyres he decided he wanted to be part of the action. Gary added that its an absolute blast to drive and you know you’ve bought the right car when you look back at it every time you walk away after parking up - ga11mck

For as long as I can remember I always loved the Golf, whether it be a GTI or an R, I was always drawn to them... I love absolutely everything about the car and I can use it for my daily drive or as a weekend car. It’s hard to beat a nice drive in a Golf R up the mountains. - deano_117

I have many memories of driving a Golf. The first one was when I was a teenager when my family got our very first new car which was a four door Mk2 Golf. I learned to drive and passed my driving test in it. My father has had VWs all his life and I too have had numerous Golfs and VWs since then. The car that I have now brings back all these memories when I travel to vintage shows at the weekends around the beautiful Waterford countryside and farther afield. And, I enjoy having my own children driving it and seeing what it was like to be motoring back in the 1980s. - gbarron051.

I own a 2011 Volkswagen Golf VI 1598cc, and I have driven it to every corner of the country over the past 5 years. - Luis de Morais
November
My car takes me everywhere but the best are evening drives trough these beautiful Dublin mountains… Nothing better than MK7.5 GTI - krzysztof0790.

My first VW was a 1983 Mk1 Golf bought back around 2000. I have since owned 2 other Golfs, a Sirocco, a 1980 Polo, 2 Corrado's (always regret selling those) and my wife has a Tiguan Allspace R-line which she loves. I now have my current Golf 2019 GTI. I live in Donegal but originally from Dublin. I always look forward to visiting my parents and now with my latest Golf, the 250km trip is a pleasure. - stephen_cooper_wilson
